More games to play

Golf Solitaire is a solo card game you can play free in your browser, on desktop or mobile, with no download or account required. It works unblocked at school or work wherever browser games are allowed. The goal is to empty seven columns by moving cards onto a single pile, one rank up or down at a time. When you run out of moves, you flip from the stock pile and keep going until the board clears or the cards run out.

What Golf Solitaire is

Golf Solitaire uses a standard 52-card deck laid out in seven columns. Unlike classic Klondike, there is no suit-building. You just need each card to be one rank above or below the top of the discard pile. Clear all the columns and you win. Get stuck with an empty stock pile and the game ends. The name comes from counting strokes, not from anything golf-shaped.

How to play Golf Solitaire

Click or drag any exposed card that is one rank higher or lower than the face-up pile to move it. When no valid card is available, click the stock pile to flip a new card. The hint button highlights the best available move. The steal button grabs a random card from a column regardless of rank, which can open up a logjam.

Cards, stock, and the steal mechanic

The two special buttons change how the game plays. Hints are safe to use whenever you feel stuck. Steal is a bigger decision: it removes a card from a column at random, so it can open chains or make things worse. The stock pile is finite, and once it runs out there is no going back.

Golf Solitaire FAQ

Is Golf Solitaire free to play?
Yes. Golf Solitaire is completely free in the browser. No download, no account, no purchase required.
Can I play Golf Solitaire unblocked at school or work?
Yes. The game runs entirely in your browser, so it works unblocked wherever browser games are not specifically restricted. Just open the page and start playing.
How is Golf Solitaire different from regular Solitaire?
In Golf Solitaire there is no suit-building. You play cards onto a single pile as long as each one is one rank above or below the top card. The layout is seven columns, and you win by clearing all of them.
What does the steal button do?
Steal pulls a random card out of one of the seven columns, regardless of whether it can be played. It can break a deadlock, but the result is unpredictable.
Can I play Golf Solitaire on my phone?
Yes. The game works on phones, tablets, and Chromebooks through the browser, with the same tap-to-move controls as the desktop version.
What happens when I run out of stock cards?
Once the face-down stock pile is empty, you can only play cards that are already exposed in the columns. If no valid moves remain, the game ends and you lose that round.
